## What is this?

Quarmy is a character build planner and gear calculator for Project Quarm, a classic EverQuest emulated server. It serves as a magelo-style alternative for the Quarm community — plan gear, calculate stats, compare equipment sets, and share builds.

## Features

- **Character Builder** — Pick race, class, level, deity. Allocate bonus stats. Equip items from the real Project Quarm item database (~27K items).
- **Stat Calculator** — HP, Mana, AC, ATK, resists, haste, regen, flowing thought, damage shield, worn ATK. All formulas ported from EQMacEmu server source code.
- **Gear Set Comparison** — Create multiple gear sets per character and compare stats side by side.
- **Quarmy Import** — Type `/outputfile quarmy` in-game (with Zeal), upload the file, and your full character (gear, bags, AAs, guild) is imported. Checksum-verified imports earn a verified "Q" badge.
- **Legacy Inventory Import** — Type `/outputfile inventory` in-game, upload the file, and your equipped gear is loaded automatically.
- **Alternate Advancement (AA) Planning** — Select AAs and see how they affect your stats (HP%, AC softcap, stat bonuses, regen, etc.).
- **Buff System** — Preset raid buffs plus custom buff sets, computed with authentic spell-effect formulas.
- **Tanking Simulator** — AC breakdown (avoidance/mitigation), softcap visualization, and boss survival simulation against real raid NPCs.
- **Threat Simulator** — Hate-per-minute calculations using server-verified threat formulas.
- **Bow DPS Calculator** — Ranger ranged DPS simulation (Trueshot, Archery Mastery).
- **Build Sharing** — Three visibility levels: Private (default), Shared (anyone with the link), or Public.
- **Public Profiles** — Browse public builds with class/race/guild filters and stat sorting. Verified builds shown by default.
- **Guilds** — Builds carry guild name and rank, set by import or manually.
- **Inventory Search** — Import inventory files from multiple characters, search across all of them to find where an item is.

## Data Sources

- Item data: Project Quarm game database (SQL dumps from EQMacEmu)
- Stat formulas: EQMacEmu server source (zone/client_mods.cpp, zone/attack.cpp, magelo calculatestats.php)
- AA data: altadv_vars + aa_effects tables from the Quarm database
- Spell effects: spells_new table (worn effects resolved for haste, regen, FT, ATK, damage shield)
